Dried sarsaparilla root (Smilax), sweet and woody.

Traditionally used in herbalism: A sweet, woody root long used in Western and Central American herbalism as an 'alterative' blood-cleansing tonic — traditionally taken to support clear skin and as the base for old-fashioned spring tonics and root beers.

A little lore: A herb of love, money, and prosperity — burned and carried to draw abundance.

Close to home: Not the true one — true sarsaparilla (Smilax) is tropical and imported, though a native wild cousin (Aralia nudicaulis) grows in Ontario woods.

In your cup & cauldron: Simmer as a root decoction.

Offered for traditional and metaphysical purposes only. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Please consult a qualified healthcare provider before use, especially if pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
