Dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), the traveller's and dreamer's herb.
Traditionally used in herbalism: A bitter aromatic with a long folk-herbal history as a digestive stimulant and a traditional 'woman's herb' used to support a regular monthly cycle. It was also the original bitter strewn in ales — hence 'mug-wort' — before hops took its place.
A little lore: The classic herb of dreams and divination — burned or placed beneath the pillow to invite vivid, prophetic dreams and aid scrying.
Close to home: Yes — mugwort is well established (naturalized) across southern Ontario, often along roadsides.
In your cup & cauldron: Use in dream pillows, cleansing smoke, or a light bedtime tea. Not for use in pregnancy.
Offered for traditional and metaphysical purposes only. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Please consult a qualified healthcare provider before use, especially if pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
